Please know most of the evening for the wedding will be paved, but dinner will be in the sand! So plan accordingly.
Most travelers (for example, from United States, Canada, Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Panama, France, Germany, Italy, Russia, Puerto Rico, etc.) do not need to present a negative COVID-19 test upon arrival to enter the Dominican Republic. Airports and other ports of entry will perform a quick, aleatory breath test to a percentage of passengers, and all those who present symptoms, upon arrival. Passengers under the age of five and crew members are exempt from this procedure. Passengers who present a vaccination card no less than 3 weeks after the last dose was placed or a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours prior to arrival in the Dominican Republic will be exempted from the random test. All passengers will also need to perform a temperature check. Passengers who present symptoms or whose test results are positive will be isolated and attended at authorized locations. Prior to departure, travelers should confirm with their airline provider and airport of origin regarding any testing or other related requirements for inbound flights to the Dominican Republic, or necessary requirements needed upon arrival to their country of origin.
US Covid protocols for re-entrance:
If you plan to travel internationally, you will need to get a COVID-19 viral test (regardless of vaccination status or citizenship) no more than 1 day before you travel by air into the United States. You must show your negative result to the airline before you board your flight. (RESORT HAS COVID TESTING AVAILABLE).
The wedding is still planning on moving forward as planned. We understand that some people may have to back out and we completely understand. Due to the complexity of an international wedding, we know it will be tough to reschedule and taking all precautions to make sure this goes smoothly.
1. The hotel has not reported any outbreaks from COVID testing at this time and not at full capacity.
2. The hotel has daily testing available and we are working on setting up a time window for the guest to be able to get their test of the day prior to departure.
3. The hotel has an Urgent Care facility on campus and strict mask policy.
4. In the event that you test positive and have to stay on island, they have a discounted rate of $75/night for double occupancy and $100/night for single occupancy.
5. We recommend people looking at COVID insurance as well. This is just an extra precaution that is not too expensive and can help with any financial worries you may have.
